Vintage c80’s Smurfs Village, Large, Quilted Bedspread. Better than vintage, with sateen cotton lining added. Animation Studio was Hanna-Barbera. Has tag, manufacturer, and J. C. Penney’s, a bit melted. Content info: Top is 65%polyester/35% cotton, Filling is polyester fiberfill.
Bedspread measures 80″w x 108″ long, “Twin” to the floor but large enough for a Full or Queen Coverlet, to box-spring with Extra-long pillow cover area. No shams needed.
Child’s bedspread was enjoyed and is in Good, Used condition with restoration to backing. The printed fabric is in Good, Used Condition. Top half has light fade and pilling from use, when compared to bottom half. There is a sprinkle of greyish spots, kiddie paint ? see Smurfette pic, near edge. Bedspread nylon backing had tears and was restored by lining with a cotton sateen sheet. There are 2 seams to backing.
Now, there is a REVERSIBLE white quilt with multicolor edging option for when you don’t want a Smurf bed. The sateen is so soft and luxurious. Not only increases tactile quality but durability. Thank you and enjoy.
